I'm Karen London, an award-winning photographer for newborns, children, teens, and families based in Bethesda, Maryland. Photography is my passion and has been for as long as I can remember. After winning an award from The Washington Post as a high school student, I knew photography would be a part of my career.
Early on, my family considered photography a "nice hobby" and suggested that I pursue a "secure job." So, I went into telecommunications marketing. After all, everyone needs a phone.
After several acquisitions and mergers, enough was enough. I decided it was time to do what I love, and I went back to school for photography. In 2007, Karen London Photography was born.
I am very fortunate to have documented so many wonderfully different Washingtonian families over the years. My favorite part of being a Maryland, DC & Northern Virginia child & family photographer is getting to know you and watching your families grow. Starting with newborn photography sessions through senior pictures, I love being a part of every milestone and celebrating them with you. Every family is unique and has something that makes them special.
